Firstly I must apologize for a error in my
last newsletter. I should have said the Texas Rangers Festival and not Ann
and Alans festival.
My festival has now come and gone.Another
great day.This is my 9th year and I am planning on stopping at the 10th
year. Not stopping altogether,but making a few changes and trying
something new.
Pat
Stott was my choreographer for the day and Pat was excellent.She is a very
down to earth lady,who joins in with the crowd.Pat taught Rio, I will
Survive, Summer Breeze and Rockie Country, if anyone would like the sheets
for these dances please email me.
Chris Mezza and Magill had the crowd jumping in the evening. Magill does
not come this far North often,but when they do
they give a great show.
Roz played the cd,s for the dancers from
12midday to midnight and I can honestly say there were no repeated dances
done in that length of
time.
This was also mentioned from some of the dancers that attended the
Ballroom and was greatly appreciated.Well done Roz.I think I have
mentioned this before,and I will again. There is nothing worse than doing
the same dance about 4 times on the one day,and then again with the bands.
I know it is hard,but a good Dj will work hard to avoid this.Thank you all
for making my festival a good day. To everyone that travels every year to
Aberdeen and as always a thank you to my girls for helping me,not
forgetting Graham.
I am going away to Turkey for a week at the
end of July.All my classes will be closed for two weeks,resume on the 7th
August.
I had a recap afternoon in June,which was a
great success,so I am having another one on the 20th August.These
afternoons are a lot of fun.I recap dances that have been taught in the
last few months or if anyone has a particular dance they would like to go
over, whether it be new or old, we dance it through.Anyone can attend, it
is a open day for any level of dancer.
Sorry I don't really have a lot of news this
time, getting ready to break for summer.

Another great weekend at The Royal Hotel at Dykehead. St
Valentines weekend went very well.’’Little

their all on the Friday night .A workshop on the
Saturday afternoon with Roz and Tina, with Tina
providing the music for the afternoon gave everyone some
extra dancing if required.Thank you girls.
Saturday night was the

a great night of dancing and laughter. The guys gave us
wonderful entertainment. Thank you to everyone who
attended the weekend.
Next year at the same time I have

Sunset Trio.
I have only 2 rooms left for the weekend. Still tickets
available for the evenings dancing.

March, due to bad weather,but she will be with us very
